Trauma and PTSD Therapy
In-person therapy in parts of Middle Tennessee, including portions of Sumner and Davidson counties, and virtual therapy across Tennessee.
Trauma can continue affecting your mind and body long after the event is over. You may know logically that you are safe and still feel on edge, emotionally flooded, numb, shut down, or disconnected from your own life.
Trauma responses can take many forms. Some people have intrusive memories, nightmares, panic, or hypervigilance. Others feel flat, guarded, irritable, or unlike themselves. Trauma does not always look dramatic, but it often continues shaping life until it is addressed with care.
At Clearly Aware Psychotherapy, trauma therapy is paced thoughtfully. The goal is not to push you too fast. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and less controlled by what happened.
